THE JOURNEY TO THE BINATIONAL RACE

The journey to the first-ever Binational Race was as challenging as it was exhilarating. Spearheaded by a diverse group of local runners from San Diego and Tijuana, this idea blossomed into a reality through sheer determination and collaboration across borders.

With the support of both communities, and pivotal meetings with city officials including a notable 45-minute session in San Diego that concluded with enthusiastic endorsements, what started as a dream quickly gained momentum. In Tijuana, the enthusiasm was mirrored, with local leaders and organizations jumping onboard to ensure the race could showcase the best of both cities.

Now, this race stands as a powerful symbol of what can be achieved when we unite for a common goal. It’s not just about running; it’s about erasing borders with every step, fostering understanding, and celebrating our shared human spirit. Join us in making history on September 15, 2024, as we run from San Diego to Tijuana, crafting a new chapter in international friendship and sporting achievement.
