From beginners to seasoned runners — everyone is welcome at Binational Race.
Whether you need to cross from Mexico to the United States to be at the starting line, or after finishing the race in Mexico plan to return to the US, you must present the usual immigration documents according to your nationality or immigration status. Keep official documents securely stored to prevent water damage or loss.
The 10K starts and finishes in Tijuana. If you are Mexican and reside in Mexico, you do not need any immigration documents. If you are a US citizen or reside in the United States, you must present the usual immigration documents to cross into Mexico, participate, and return to the US afterward.
No — upon crossing the border as a participant in the Binational Race Half Marathon, authorities allow runners to enter. It’s essential to visibly display your race number, ensure it matches the person carrying it, and stay within the designated lanes and schedule for the event.
Yes, we provide shuttle service from the finish line back to San Diego. Shuttle tickets are available for purchase during registration.
The Half Marathon time limit is 3 hours 30 minutes — the first 10K must be completed within 1 hour 30 minutes due to border crossing logistics. The 10K time limit is 1 hour 30 minutes.
